About Bill Trainor

Bill Trainor

Bill Trainor is a lifelong musician and has been teaching music since 2004. He teaches violin, fiddle, and ukulele. Bill has studied Suzuki violin method under Florie Brown (registered Suzuki violin instructor) and with Professor Judy Bossuat (master Suzuki teacher trainer). He is a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas and the American String Teacher’s Association. Bill has played violin with the Runaway Stage Productions Resident Orchestra and with the Coloma Strings string ensemble.

Bill has played fiddle with “Frieda and the Cajun Fusiliers” and “Coyote Contraband.” He is currently a “Coyote Emeritus” and can be seen playing at various jam sessions in the Sacramento and Davis area.

Ukulele was probably Bill’s first instrument. He has taught classes for children and classes for seniors as well as individual lessons to students of all ages. Bill was recently seen singing and playing ukulele at Beatnik Studio’s Winter Crafts Fair.

Bill was an “artist in residence” with the Sacramento City Unified School District during the Winter 2005 semester. He has also taught musicianship workshops at Learning Exchange, Davis Experimental College, and the Home School California Conferences. Bill has also performed with Best of Broadway Inc., Runaway Stage Productions, Davis Musical Theatre Company, and California Stage.
